Bluewin e-mail: migration to new subscriptions and new Webmail

We have updated our Bluewin e-mail products and modernised Webmail. The migration is automated and will take place at some point in the coming weeks. You cannot influence the time of the migration.

We will inform all customers with an existing Bluewin E-Mail basic or pro about the changes by e-mail.

New Webmail

  • Fresher, more user-friendly design 
  • An account manager that allows you to switch easily between e-mail accounts. 
  • Appointments and contacts are maintained separately for each e-mail account and can be transferred from one account to another. Go to instructions 
  • You can exclude e-mails from individual senders or domains from the spam filter. This will ensure that these e-mails go to your inbox and are not intercepted by the spam filter. 
  • In addition to e-mails and contacts, you can also export calendar entries from Webmail. Go to instructions

The new Webmail product offers many optimised features. However, for technical reasons and as a result of new security and data protection requirements, there are also certain limitations and some features that are no longer available. For other features, you will need to take action in order to use them again for all e-mail accounts.

  • Several e-mail accounts: following the migration, you will no longer have an overview of all the mail accounts associated with the subscription. Instead, you will need to switch between your account using the Account Manager. Each account includes a mailbox, a calendar, an address book and tasks.Introductory tour (opens in new tab)
  • External e-mail accounts: for security reasons, you will no longer be able to link external e-mail accounts via IMAP. 
  • Tasks: your tasks will be lost during the migration process. Important: manually copy your tasks from your old Webmail in advance. 
  • Calendar, contacts & signatures: following the migration, you will find all of your appointments, contacts and signatures in your primary e-mail account. To continue using this data in your other accounts, export it and then import it into the other accounts.

  • Contact groups, address books & distribution lists: During the migration, we transfer all email addresses stored in a contact group to distribution lists. These distribution lists have the same name as your previous contact groups. Enter the name of the distribution list as the recipient in a new message to send an e-mail to everyone on this list. Individual contacts are no longer automatically assigned to the contact groups after the migration. All contacts and their information are now only in the main address book of the primary email account. Create new address books and move the contacts to reorganise your contacts as before.

You can now use the account manager to access your separate e-mail accounts (different e-mail addresses). To do this, go to the Profile button in the top right and select the account you want.

You still need your Swisscom Login to access Webmail. This is the same whether you are accessing Bluewin e-mail via an e-mail program or an app on your PC or smartphone. You can use your login details and password.

New Bluewin subscriptions

  • Bluewin e-mail light – no changes 
  • Bluewin e-mail  basic – now CHF 2.90/mo. Business customers who previously used their Bluewin E-Mail basic or pro free of charge as part of the inOne SME office/Smart Business Connect package will now also pay CHF 2.90 per month
  • Bluewin E-Mail pro – becomes Bluewin E-Mail basic  Business customers who previously used their Bluewin E-Mail basic or pro free of charge as part of the inOne SME office/Smart Business Connect package will now also pay CHF 2.90 per month
  • Bluewin e-mail advanced – no changes

With Bluewin E-Mail basic and advanced, you can now set up your e-mail on your smartphone with Exchange so that your e-mails, calendar, contacts and tasks are synchronised with the e-mail program.

All customers with Bluewin E-Mail basic will receive the chargeable subscription free for 3 months. You can switch to the free subscription, Bluewin E-Mail light, in My Swisscom.

Anyone using just one e-mail address and less than 90% of the 1 GB of storage at the time of the migration will automatically switch to the free subscription Bluewin E-Mail light at the end of the 3 months. No action is required on your part.

You can change your Bluewin e-mail subscription and adjust your e-mail account settings in My Swisscom.

You can switch to the free subscription, Bluewin e-mail light, at any time in My Swisscom. Changes will take effect from the next billing date.

When you switch to a lower subscription, you will continue to have access to your primary e-mail account. Additional e-mail accounts will be suspended and will be deleted after 180 days.

As you will have less inclusive storage space, you may have to delete e-mails you have sent or received. Otherwise, you will no longer be able to send or receive e-mails.

If you have more than one e-mail address, you can define your primary e-mail address in My Swisscom.

E-mail accounts will be permanently deleted 180 days after suspension. Until then, you will find a list of your accounts in My Swisscom, from where they can be restored. To do this, simply set the address in question as your primary e-mail account or switch to a higher subscription.

If you cancel your Bluewin subscription, all your e-mail addresses, including e-mails, calendar entries and contacts, will be permanently deleted with immediate effect and you will no longer have access to your inbox.

You can only cancel your Bluewin E-Mail basic or advanced subscription if you switch to a Bluewin E-Mail light subscription first and delete your primary e-mail account.
