How to protect yourself

  • Log in securely:Use strong passwords and activate two-factor authentication 
  • Detect data breaches: Use the free Security Checker to check whether data linked to your e-mail address is publicly accessible. 
  • Install updates: Update your apps and programs regularly (software/firmware updates) 
  • Be suspicious: When you receive e-mails, look out for fake senders, impersonal forms of address and spelling mistakes. If in doubt, do not click on links or attachments 
  • Make a backup: Back up your photos and files to a cloud or on local storage media 
  • Be informed: find out about Internet scams.

Report fraud

Forward spam or phishing e-mails to: spamreport@bluewin.ch.  

Add the number to the block list if you have activated the Callfilter.   

Report phishing SMS messages to us using the form. 

Report a suspicious website/URL online. 

Fraud can also be reported to the National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC)(opens in new tab).

Free spam filter

The Bluewin spam filter checks all incoming and outgoing e-mails. If a message contains suspicious features or has been reported as spam, it will go to the spam folder. You can activate or deactivate the spam filter at any time in My Swisscom(opens in new tab). 

We also protect you from dishonest mass-advertising calls and texts with the Callfilter and SMS filter(opens in new tab).

First aid

  • Change your passwords (e.g. bank, insurance, e-mail etc.) – from a different device if necessary. 
  • Store your important files on an external storage device or in the cloud. 
  • Reset your device fully to the factory settings. Mobile instructions 
  • Update your software and antivirus programmes.
