Swisscom has been named winner of the CHIP mobile network test. According to the trade magazine, Swisscom rated highly in all categories, making it the best mobile network provider in Switzerland. With its outstanding network, Swisscom is driving digitisation in Switzerland and providing its customers with optimum connectivity.
Swisscom’s mobile network is the best in Switzerland. That was the finding of the CHIP mobile network test 2024. Swisscom has now won the network test nine times in succession, and this year it triumphed in the 5G test, too. In addition to 5G, Swisscom also came out on top in all other test categories and continues to improve year on year.

CHIP tested Swisscom in the 5G, Internet, telephony and long-distance trains categories over several weeks, with a focus on 5G. Central to the 5G evaluation were the criteria 5G performance and 5G availability. Swisscom was found to offer the highest performance across all categories, making it the best provider in Switzerland.

In addition to being named best mobile network, Swisscom was also the unrivalled winner of the recent hotline test by connect magazine. Both test victories are among a string of network and service awards won by Swisscom.
The demand for mobile communications continues to grow rapidly. An increasing number of customers own a 5G-enabled smartphone. According to the industry association asut, there are currently around 5.5 million 5G devices in use in Switzerland. Rapid expansion is needed to safeguard the high network quality and ensure that we can continue offering our customers an outstanding mobile network. Thanks to its continued investment in an innovative network infrastructure, Swisscom already provides 81% of the Swiss population with 5G+.
