The mobile phone is the most popular form of media among children and has now become part of their everyday life. According to the MIKE study, 52% of 6 to 13-year-old children now own a mobile phone. To ensure that children can get off to a safe start to their lives in the world of digital communication, Swisscom is holding media courses to show schoolchildren, parents and teaching staff how to use media responsibly. The right offering will also provide children with a safe starting point. With the new inOne Mobile Prepaid Kids packages, children and young people (7 to 18 year olds) in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein can make unlimited calls to up to five Swisscom numbers and send unlimited text messages for 30 days for just CHF 9.90. On top of this, we are also providing 300 MB data volume on the best network**. Parents are also able to pay for the prepaid offering for their children via their own Swisscom mobile invoice, which is convenient and also provides them with a measure of control over the costs. Dirk Wierzbitzki, Head of Products at Swisscom, had the following to say: “Even the little ones want to be connected with one another – they want to send SMS and Whatsapp messages to their friends, and call their home phones when it’s later in the evening. It also provides parents with a sense of security, as they can contact their children at any time.” InOne Mobile Prepaid Kids is the replacement for the Natel Easy Start package. Existing Natel Easy Start customers will not be automatically transferred to the new Kids offering.
It’s not only children now who want more than just to be contactable, adult prepaid customers also want to be able to surf the Internet multiple times per day. On the basic tariff (previously Natel Easy Smart), Swisscom is now offering three additional bundled packages featuring flexible inclusive volumes, including unlimited calls (in Switzerland and Liechtenstein) to up to 5 Swisscom numbers. As the packages only last for 30 calendar days, they can be adjusted to meet your individual needs, thus making them as convenient as a subscription but with flexible options and without tying you to a contract. The best thing is that Swisscom is giving customers their first bundled package before 31 October free-of-charge, which is perfect for getting to grips with the new options.

The standard tariff is still available for customers who only use the Internet occasionally and rarely make calls; however, it now features a higher download speed of up to 10 Mbps (previous maximum speed was 2 Mbps). Dirk Wierzbitzki is delighted: “Some of our customers want to pay less but still be able to keep in touch with their loved ones. Everyone has different needs – inOne Mobile Prepaid provides the best offerings for each individual on the best network**.”
The old data packages have been replaced with new offerings to make customers’ surfing experiences even better. The new packages offer more volume for less money: 500 MB for CHF 8.90/month or 1.5 GB for CHF 19.90/month, both of which now with a max. download speed of 10 Mbps. The 24-hour Speed package still costs CHF 5, but is more than twice as fast as before with a max. speed of 50 Mbps (previously 21 Mbps). The three Data Travel packages (e.g. CHF 9.90 for 200 MB) allow customers to surf the web without any worries when they are abroad. The Swisscom Cockpit makes it easy to quickly order a package and check and top up your credit. Thanks to the Auto-Reload function, bundled packages and data packages are automatically renewed as and when necessary.
In One Mobile Prepaid will be available from 26th September 2017.
