Sixt Leasing (Switzerland) Ltd takes over SXB Managed Mobility Ltd.

Urdorf, 30 August 2016

Sixt Leasing (Switzerland) Ltd acquired the remaining 50% of SXB Managed Mobility Ltd. The company bought Business Fleet Management AG, which is a 100 % daughter company of Swisscom. The move will allow Sixt Leasing (Switzerland) Ltd to develop its overall mobility strategy even more effectively. There are no changes in store for customers of SXB Managed Mobility Ltd. Swisscom will remain a customer of SXB Managed Mobility.

The acquisition represents a consolidation of the Sixt Leasing (Switzerland) Ltd service portfolio. It is thereby increasing its focus on the sector and strengthening the comprehensive, personal and bespoke service it offers its customers. The parties to the transaction have agreed not to disclose any information on the purchase price.

Swisscom will remain a customer of SXB Managed Mobility Ltd. The cooperation between Swisscom and SXB Managed Mobility Ltd shall continue as before. Stefan Reber, Chief Executive of Business Fleet Management AG: “SXB Managed Mobility Ltd shall continue to act as partner for the Swisscom vehicles fleet with responsibility, in particular, for vehicle maintenance, claims management and firstlevel support for all Swisscom employees entitled to a vehicle from our fleet.”

What happens next

SXB Managed Mobility Ltd will still be located at the established premises of Sixt Leasing in Urdorf. Sixt Leasing (Switzerland) Ltd will also retain the service portfolio and the existing, experienced staff team. With the termination of the joint venture and the company’s full integration within Sixt Leasing, Heike Arnold, the former chief executive, will be leaving the company.

Dirk Fuchs, Chief Executive of Sixt Leasing (Switzerland) Ltd: “With the complete takeover it will bring clear added value for our customers. Fleet customers are increasingly looking for a mobility partner who is also able to provide consultancy services in addition to fleet management and driver assistance. This full integration with the parent company gives us the benefit of international experience and the opportunity to assist our customers more intensively with their projects moving forward: whether by cutting costs, optimising processes and quality or reducing CO2 emissions. I am delighted that Swisscom is to remain one of our major customers.”
