Christian Petit to become new head of Enterprise Customers

Christian Petit will take over as head of Enterprise Customers (Corporate Business) from Andreas König starting 1 April 2014 and will also become a member of the Group Executive Board. Andreas König is resigning as head of Corporate Business at the end of March for family reasons and will be leaving the company. These changes in personnel will not have any impact on the ongoing development of Corporate Business. The merger of IT Services and Corporate Business is proceeding according to plan.

Andreas König has decided to leave Swisscom for family reasons and return to Germany. He will end his tenure as head of Corporate Business at the end of March and resign from the Group Executive Board. “We deeply regret Andreas König's decision to leave us. Under his leadership, Swisscom IT Services had its best year in the history of the company. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his contribution“, said Urs Schaeppi, CEO Swisscom. Andreas König will continue to act in an advisory capacity to Swisscom until the end of May 2014.

The Board of Directors has selected Christian Petit to succeed Andreas König and to become a member of the Group Executive Board. Christian Petit is already responsible for large parts of our Corporate Business operations in his roles as COO and head of the Enterprise Solution Center. He has many years of experience in the telecommunications industry. The Board of Directors of Swisscom and CEO Urs Schaeppi would like to take this opportunity to wish Christian Petit much success in his new position. “With Christian Petit, we have a very experienced and competent colleague as head of Corporate Business. He will put a strong focus on driving forward the convergence between IT and telecommunications and the digitalisation of the Swiss economy.”
These changes in personnel will not have any impact on the ongoing development of Corporate Business. The merger of IT Services and Corporate Business is proceeding according to plan. To boost the effectiveness of Corporate Business, as well as to actively push ahead with convergence and single-source cloud-based solutions, Swisscom bundled Corporate Business with Enterprise Customers at the start of the year. Swisscom has been serving corporate customers from a single source since January, and the Solution Center has been in operation since 1 March 2014, making Swisscom one of the largest integrated ICT providers for large companies in Switzerland.
