Annual Report 2023
8 February 2024, 07:15
Swisscom had a strong financial result and good market performance in 2023. We were able to keep our revenue virtually stable in the private customer segment in Switzerland. We have impressed our customers with our attractive and sustainable products, our service and what was, once again, an award-winning network. Our IT services for our business customers are also proving successful, while our subsidiary Fastweb in Italy increased its customer base and revenue once again. Innovation remains a focus, and with this in mind, we are investing more than CHF 100 million in the development of AI solutions. We are also continuing to invest heavily in network expansion using optical fibre, which will replace copper in the long term. We have made a Group-wide commitment to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with SBTi by 2035. The outlook for 2024 is positive: we expect to generate EBITDA of CHF 4.5 to 4.6 billion.
"We delivered convincing performance in 2023. Innovation will remain a focus in 2024."
We are pleased to inform you of Swisscom’s positive performance. This was achieved in a challenging year. 2023 was marred by uncertainties, such as the volatile market environment with rising interest rates and inflation, as well as mounting geopolitical risks. This makes our annual figures all the more encouraging. Swisscom achieved a stable set of financial results in a challenging market.
