Consumer magazine connect has published the results of its mobile telephony test for Switzerland. The results show that Swisscom’s mobile network offers an impressive bandwidth of expertise. As a consequence, Swisscom received an overall rating of ‘Excellent’. Swisscom has secured itself the top spot in this year’s test by achieving 977 of the maximum 1,000 points available. In so doing, Swisscom has outclassed not only all other providers in Switzerland, but also those across the entire DACH region.
“We’re delighted with this victory! Special thanks go to all those who work hard day after day to make our network a success. After all, the network is Swisscom’s foundation and this result fills us with pride,” said Swisscom CTIO Mark Düsener.
The connect mobile telephony test evaluates performance in the areas of voice telephony, mobile data transmission and crowdsourcing. Swisscom received the best rating in the latter two categories. The trade magazine also praised the progress on 5G expansion in particular. “When it comes to the 5G expansion, Swisscom is strong both in our towns and cities and notably also outside of them.”
In addition to its mobile network, Swisscom’s fixed network was also named the best network. Swisscom also offers the best service: all of our service channels (app, shop and hotline) came first in their respective connect test.
The test shows that Swisscom has the best network. To ensure that this continues, Swisscom is continuously expanding its network wherever possible, complying with the relevant federal, cantonal and municipal regulations at all times. To safeguard the high network quality and ensure that we can continue to offer our customers an outstanding mobile network, a solid legal framework is required, enabling existing mobile systems to be maintained and modernised without time-consuming approval procedures.
