Customers in Switzerland have carried out several hundred thousand tests via the Speedtest by Ookla app. The results highlight which mobile network achieves the best results under real conditions. Swisscom has come out on top once again with a noticeable lead over its competitors and improvements on the previous half-year.
“Ookla Speedtests are actively carried out by customers under real conditions. The measurements are taken in supermarkets, underpasses or at home. We are therefore delighted that our mobile network has been confirmed as the best under a wide range of circumstances,” says Christoph Aeschlimann, CIO&CTO Swisscom. “Ultimately, however, the interaction of all the networks is also crucial. In this regard we combine the best mobile network with our high-performance, ultra-fast broadband network, which will cover all of the more than 2,100 Swiss municipalities by the end of 2021.”
