Since mid-April, Natel infinity plus customers have been able to enjoy their holidays within the European Union without worrying about their phone bills. That’s because their roaming fees have been slashed to almost zero. Now customers travelling outside the EU can also keep their calling costs under control at all times. The Travel Voice option can be booked separately and gives customers 30 minutes' worry-free talk time and 30 text messages to use within 30 days around the globe. The option costs CHF 15 and will be available to residential and business customers alike from 1 July. Especially customer-friendly: the option needn't be deactivated again because it simply expires after 30 days. Customers who regularly travel abroad for work can book the option for CHF 10 per calendar month. “The Travel Voice option is yet another step towards enabling our customers to use their mobile phones abroad without worrying about the resulting costs. Significantly better conditions for making phone calls and sending text messages are now a reality, even outside the EU,” says Jérôme Wingeier, Head of Roaming at Swisscom.
Even after they have used up their credit, customers purchasing the Travel Voice option will still benefit from new, cheaper call tariffs. Calls from popular holiday destinations such as the US or Thailand, for example, will now cost only a quarter of what they used to. The Travel Voice option will also mean significantly lower prices for customers travelling to European countries outside the EU, such as Turkey and Montenegro.
