When computers can understand natural language and even respond to our questions, the impact on our daily lives is profound. We can instruct a computer to pay an invoice – and it does.
I like ideas that challenge my way of thinking. I joined Swisscom as a trainee when I finished my Master's degree in Robotics at ETH Zurich, and I now work in two completely different roles: on the one hand, I work as a software engineer, developing the chatbot Sam, and, on the other, I advise on how we can overcome business challenges using generative AI(opens in new tab). Until recently, chatbots followed rigid structures and responded with predefined messages. Soon though, Sam will be able to conduct conversations that feel natural. It is truly revolutionary.
In my free time, I like to get out on my race bike several times a week, and I also have many other interests outside the world of technology.
