When I published my first cookbook, I jumped in at the deep end and just started swimming. That’s how it was when I started in the ICT industry, too.
With a Master’s degree in law, Swisscom was a career change for me. I like working in a forward-thinking industry, at the crossover between IT and business. I’m a versatile person; in addition to my law degree, I also learned programming and wrote a cookbook with my partner based on meals for under CHF 5: “Kochen unter 5 Franken”. Suddenly we were running a small start-up and had to place all our faith in its success. This attitude still helps me today, even in my day-to-day work.
I started as a trainee at Swisscom and it’s now my job to optimise the sales journey in the Online Shop. We get customers involved to ensure that we offer them the best experience. I also use this approach successfully in my private life: I look for feedback on recipes from my network at an early stage and published my third cookbook last year.
