"Before I started my new job, I was largely unfamiliar with the technical field. And my Swisscom network at INI was pretty small, apart from the few colleagues I knew from the SCALE programme. Discussions with these SCALE colleagues were particularly valuable for me to get an initial overview before I started and to learn some of the internal details in an unpackaged way," says Sabine.
SCALE also helped her to become aware of her strengths and weaknesses. "During the SCALE programme, I took a very close look at what I want to achieve, what I want to learn and which strengths will help me to do so. My resources lie in leading heterogeneous teams, creating a common basis of interest, setting things in motion despite limiting factors and familiarising myself quickly with new topics. These are good prerequisites for venturing into a specialised field that is still unfamiliar to me," she says.
