Swiss Skills - but what exactly is it? Swiss Skills are Switzerland's central vocational skills championships. They offer inspiring insights into the huge variety of Swiss apprenticeships. Switzerland's best young professionals were in action live at this major event from 7 - 11 September 22.
During these five exciting days, I was able to help design our stand as a sub-project manager and represent Swisscom on site.
We had 120,000 visitors, 150 different apprenticeships, 85 professional championships, including 10 apprentices in Swisscom's ICT professions and 1000 young professionals working live.
I was able to contribute my ideas and visions for the stand right from the start and liaised closely with the project manager. My activities included: stand design, personnel planning, project planning, stand content, administration, communication and coordination.
There were several hurdles that had to be overcome during the project. Firstly, finding the necessary staff for the Swisscom stand and secondly, finding the content creator staff for Swiss Skills. With a proper shift plan and good communication, these hurdles were also overcome.
The highlight of Swiss Skills 2022 for me was seeing my realisation of the print products on site at the Swisscom stand.
I had a competent and helpful team at my side during the event. The project was very intensive and allowed me to network and take on new responsibilities. It was a great experience for me.
