Digital Days for Girls - getIT

I took part in the Digital Days for Girls (DD4G for short) in Year 8 and was impressed by the variety of professions and Swisscom as well as the insights into the everyday working life of the apprentices. After the three days, I quickly realised that mediamatics was the perfect profession for me and that Swisscom was the company where I wanted to learn the profession. So I prepared my application and was more than happy when the phone rang during a snack break with the confirmation of my apprenticeship. But my journey with the Digital Days wasn't over yet. In the 3rd year of my apprenticeship, I was allowed to support and guide the programme as a helper. I was now the one who looked at photography with the students and was able to give them an insight into training at Swisscom. A year later, I was even given the opportunity to take on the role of main organiser and plan and run the entire event from A-Z. The fact that I was able to take on different perspectives beforehand helped me a lot to fulfil all needs. Being able to organise an event of this size with external people as an apprentice was a great gesture of trust for me and filled me with pride. After all these years, being there myself and holding the reins was a great feeling. It was therefore extremely nice for me to accompany the new main organisers this year and to be able to support them as a project provider in organising the event. Our internal film team was also there for the three days and took a look behind the scenes with participant Riana. Would you also like to know how she experienced the DD4G?
