Drone deployment as a service

Switzerland’s drone network is a secure infrastructure that supports automated drone flights as a service. The drones, which are distributed throughout Switzerland, can be used for inspections, police operations or to safeguard large areas and critical infrastructure.

The Swiss drone network

Swisscom Broadcast already has experience with custom drone flights as a service. Its partnership with Nokia Drone Networks has taken the service to a new level. In the coming years, up to300 drone-in-a-box units will be distributed - according to customer orders - with the aim of facilitating operationally efficient drone-as-a-service applications for industrial and public safety purposes. This infrastructure will enable drone operations to be automated beyond the visual line of sight (BVLOS).
