Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) is a function supported by fixed network devices that signals new COMBOX® messages on the fixed network device. A flashing light and/or a symbol (letter symbol, tape symbol, "1 message" or similar) indicates the new message on the display.

Relevant for SME customers:

MWI replaces the previous notification when COMBOX® called you with a new message.For Smart Business Connect and Managed Business Communication customers, the previous notification remains active.
