Ordering additional fibre optic telecommunication sockets - Special Usage OTO
The demand for technical connections is increasing (e.g. for heating control, PV system control, charging stations, etc.). Requiring the installation of additional fibre optic telecommunication outlet (OTO), which must be installed outside the usage units.
Starting in August 2024 Swisscom Wholesale plans to gradually enable the ordering of additional fibre optic telecommunications outlets (SU-OTO) throughout Switzerland from August 2024.
In a first step, this option will be available in Swisscom's exclusive construction areas for properties that are already connected. Orders can be placed as usual via the ConnectNow customer portal.
The available services can then be ordered and used as usual for this additional fibre optic telecommunications outlet.
Next year, we are planning to offer additional OTOs in co-operation areas as well. We will provide more information at a future date.
It is currently possible to order additional OTOs in the Zurich area as part of a pilot project. If you are interested, please contact your Swisscom account manager to check the location for feasibility time frame and costs.
