To close the 2018 season, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra performed "Vivaldi reloaded". The multimedia crossover project was already the second successful collaboration between the ZKO and Swisscom Broadcast, Media & Events for a stage project.
The multi-layered interpretation of the re-composition of Vivaldi's Four Seasons by Max Richter was intended to provide a younger, curious audience with an exciting approach to classical music. On stage, the chamber orchestra played accompanied by dance choreographies. The performance of orchestra and dancers was framed by projections on two spatial levels, between which the musicians and the dancers moved.
In September of the same year, the production was performed again with the participation of the orchestra "L'arte del mondo" at the "Digital Festival" in Zurich - as a continuation of the "Digital Symphony" from 2017.
Our director Christian Fink was the artistic director of this extraordinary project and was responsible for the staging, direction and overall concept: he developed, conceived and directed the graphic and cinematic content as well as the choreography of the four classical and two hip-hop dancers and created an impressive overall experience from the various interpretations of the music.
