Numerous sports enthusiasts celebrated this year's gymnastics festival in Wyland, while our 5G Private Network ensured that everything ran smoothly.
A fast pace in Zurich's Wyland: the silence that usually fills the days was broken over two weekends in June by the Zurich Cantonal Gymnastics Festival. This time, over 17,000 gymnasts of all ages flocked to the event to show off their impressive skills. Swisscom Broadcast also shone in the midst of this sporting spectacle.
Smooth process behind the scenes
To ensure that everything ran smoothly in the background, Swisscom Broadcast set up a network for the entire festival site. Our 5G Private Network was also used for the first time at an event of this size: this innovation enables applications such as cash register systems, ranking management and video surveillance to be seamlessly connected to the internet without the need to lay kilometres of cable. A great solution - especially for events.
More than just a highlight
The Zurich Cantonal Gymnastics Festival 2023 proved to be not only an arena for top sporting performances, but also a showcase for pioneering technologies. A complete success in every respect.
