1. Flight delay
  2. Protection in the event of airline and service provider insolvency
  3. Aircraft accident
  1. You miss your connecting flight because your first flight was delayed by at least three hours.

For example: The pilot arrives too late, which is why your flight is delayed by three hours and cannot make up the time. You therefore miss your connecting flight.

  2. Your travel provider has gone bankrupt, and your trip will not take place.

For example: You have booked a cruise. Then the cruise company files for bankruptcy, and your trip does not take place.

  3. Accidents that you suffer as a passenger while using an aircraft.

For example: You suffer serious injuries during the flight due to turbulence, resulting in (partial) disability.

  1. The delay occurred as a result of your own actions.

For example: You booked your connecting flight yourself and allowed only 10 minutes for the transfer, which is why you missed your connection.

  2. The bankruptcy of the travel provider was foreseeable.

For example: The travel provider had already announced its initial insolvency before your booking.

  3. You were partly responsible for the incident that led to the accident.

For example: You smuggled toxic substances into the aircraft.

  1. The insurance covers costs up to a maximum of CHF 1,000.– for the continuation of the journey if the flight is delayed by at least three hours. This benefit is paid by the insurance company after the responsible airline has already paid its share to cover the additional costs.
  2. The insurance covers the costs of rebooking or transferring to another provider.
  3. The insurance covers the treatment costs incurred as a result of the accident after the health insurance or accident insurance has paid its share.
