A family is defined as persons who live in the same household as married or cohabiting couples or civil partners, and including parents, grandparents and children.
A family also includes children under the age of 18 who do not live in the same household, as well as any foster children and children under the age of 18 for whom the adults in the household have responsibility during the holiday.
Two persons living in shared accommodation with their children, if any, are deemed to be one family.
